Leadership

Based on the values of democracy and civil society, the objective of our work is to put into practice our vision of the municipality as a modern and competitive cultural, educational, industrial, agricultural, and tourist centre on the Danube, a centre of national and European significance which has preserved its rich cultural and historical heritage and has the potential for sustainable social and economic development. Sustainable development of Svishtov Municipality is guaranteed by the balanced relation between the town and the villages.

The award is attributed in recognition of consistent work in cross-border cooperation and was given for the first time to a municipality from the former Eastern Bloc.
